Sunny was rescued after being abandoned by his former “owners” when he was only a 6 month old puppy. They had kicked him out to fend for himself only feeding him scraps and chicken bones. We fostered him through our rescue Union County Humane Society in MS. While fostering him, he overcame parvovirus and the repercussions of being fed chicken bones. He was adopted out twice and returned. Each time leaving me heartbroken. We knew we couldn’t give him up again so when the second adopter called me that he wasn't a good fit; we drove down and got him with no hesitation! Sunny loves squeaky tennis balls and could chase them for hours. If you say "where is your ball", he immediately runs to search for one. Of course, it has to be the tennis ball he has chosen for the week, just any old ball won't do! He is very specific about the humans he likes and barks at most people. He’s always been a grumpy old man even as a puppy, but we love him and can't imagine our lives without him!
