Meet Lola! We adopted this sweet girl in 2021 from HSMC. I was going through a hard time after losing both my grandparents and needed some extra love in my life. Along came Lola. Lola’s adoption was a special one, one I would say was influenced by God. You see, Lola was chosen for us, without seeing a picture of her before arriving at HSMC or even knowing her breed. A week prior to meeting Lola I had seen a different puppy available on the humane society’s website, but when I called she was already adopted. Days later, the wonderful staff called me back and said they had another puppy available and we could set up a meet and greet. Lola had been treated for the mange at HSMC, but even with the few missing patches of fur, it was love at first site. Here was this sweet pittie mix so full of energy and kisses. We took her home that day and the rest is history. Lola has brought so much happiness into our lives. This goofy girl loves everything and everybody, including couch cuddles, meeting new people, her flock of chickens and especially lunch at Amici’s. I don’t know what we would do without her.
