This is Branch.

Nine years ago, Branch walked into my life and filled it with more love and joy than I ever could have imagined.

He first came to the veterinary clinic I work at, for a routine wellness exam before being sent to a rescue because of behavioral concerns. As a young puppy, he had reportedly bitten two people, and his future seemed uncertain.

But the moment I stepped into the exam room, everything changed.

Branch leapt straight into my lap, and in that instant, I knew he was meant to be with me.

Since that day, he has been my constant companion, my shadow, and my very best friend. Wherever I go, Branch is right by my side. He has never bitten anyone while with me. In fact, despite his big smile that might look a little intimidating, he is one of the sweetest dogs you could ever meet.

Branch loves everyone he meets and adores the dogs he has welcomed into his pack. But above all else, he loves his mom.

He may have had a difficult start in life, but Branch has grown into the most loyal, loving, and extraordinary dog I have ever known. I cannot imagine my life without him, and I am so grateful that our paths crossed all those years ago.

Sometimes, all a dog needs is someone to believe in them.
