HRA rescued Nikki Baby in February of 2022 after being abandoned twice before. I received her as a foster in March and knew immediately that she was special. She was adopted but then got attacked by three dogs and the family surrendered her back to HRA for treatment. I medically fostered her again but this time she never left my home, which has become our home. Nikki is a Beagle Westie mix and announces herself whenever possible. She is smart, curious, self-aware, silly, and gaining confidence daily. confident and gets spoiled all day every day. incredibly loving. She loves her daily Rockcreek park walks and weekly hikes with DC Dog Hikes. She is very food motivated especially when it's salmon or sardines. Nikki Baby is a daily reminder that the tough times of the past have nothing to do with the good times of today.
