Benny found me just days after I'd lost my emotional support animal. He had been re-sheltered because his human went to a facility and he wasn't allowed. This was not his first time in the shelter, either. The moment I saw his picture, and read his story, I knew that we were meant to be in each other's lives and help fill the hole our companions had left behind.
