Pet's Story or Bio
Dolly came into my life in May 2013, adopted from the Humane Rescue Alliance. Instantly, we knew she was for us. This December, Dolly will turn 15 years old—a milestone that feels even more extraordinary given her journey.

She has always been a loving, loyal soul, happiest when surrounded by her family, enjoying a good home-cooked meal (her favorites are salmon and anything with cheese) or going for a long walk. She has a playful side, too and will unexpectedly get the zoomies and have what we call a “happiness attack” where she rolls on her back in a circular motion as if she is break dancing. Though we don’t exchange words, we understand each other deeply. She is my constant, my companion through every high and low, and my life changed for the better the day we brought her home.

Earlier this year, Dolly faced her biggest challenge yet. In January, she was diagnosed with cancer. At 14 years old, we were so afraid. A few months later, she underwent surgery, and against all expectations, she beat cancer! Her resilience and strength left everyone who knows her in awe.

Today, Dolly continues to thrive—smart, happy, and full of life. She reminds me everyday to stay present and not worry about what could or should be. Every walk, every shared meal, and every quiet moment together is a gift. She may not be able to tell me in words, but I know she feels the same.
