Your Pet's Story or Bio
My daughter Stephanie called us from Ft. Worth Texas while we were living in Michigan. We were +1 without a dog. There was a dog on the "24 hrs or less "kill list" and she picked up Bailey who had clearly been on the brink of leaving this life. She had a bad uterine infection, a bullet in her rib cage, an infection in her nose & eyes. The breed was a Blue Lacy - the Texas state dog.
My husband, family, and kids had a hard time recovering after putting down our prior rescue Harley that another daughter Lindsay had rescued some 10 years prior to daughter Stephanie's now pleading on the phone call.
Were we ready for another dog? Well the answer was yes. A couple plane tickets, a long drive back from TX to Michigan, & a visit later to Michigan State Veterinarians Hospital Big shout out to all the Vet's for healing Bailey back to her best self!
