Pet's Story or Bio
Rescued by HSSV and adopted at 8 months, Abbie has been surfing for the last 10 years. She has earned two Guinness World Records for longest wave surfed by a dog, and was the first dog inducted into the International Surfing Museum's Walk of Fame. She is the longest competing and most awarded surf dog. She has surfed all over northern and southern California, and has even been invited to surf in Florida and Hawaii, and appeared in movies and TV commercials. Her love for the beach and ocean was so strong, it even inspired her owner Michael to launch a startup company aimed at using artificial intelligence to help protect coastlines by predicting natural disasters such as flooding. Abbie and Michael live in Santa Monica where they can be found surfing year round.
