Pet's Story or Bio
Stretch came to HSSV as a stray, and was very stressed out without a home, shedding, drooling and pottying all over his room. We are volunteers there, and liked his enthusiastic, friendly personality when we took him for walks. He is scared of some dogs so we take him to OurPack training almost every weekend to help him overcome his fear and get used to all sorts of dogs. He has become a Furry Friends pet-assisted therapy dog, visiting veterans at the VA hospital, seniors at assisted living facilities, and students during stressful finals week. A local realtor advertised in the Northern California Corgi Facebook group seeking a corgi to help her video her favorite spots in her hometown Campbell. Stretch beat out the competition, mainly because he'll work for cheap, i.e. kibble. Stretch went from being stray and homeless, to helping veterans, seniors and students, to co-starring in a commercial. He is yet another success story for shelter dogs, and would be honored to give back to HSSV by being Brand Ambassador for Tales & Ales 2019!
