Pet's Story or Bio
The original plan was for my husband and I to continuously foster cats with HSSV. I had never had a cat before, growing up with only having dogs, so didn't really think I would become attached to one, let alone two felines! Two days after our feline foster training, we received a call from HSSV to pick up two kittens that would require bottle feeding. They were less than a week old and we had to bottle-feed them every three hours; as time passed we had other "parental" duties as we watched them learn to walk, learn to use the litterbox, grow stronger, and develop their own unique and adorable personalities. We affectionately named them Teddy and Luna, probably sealing the deal of us ultimately becoming foster failures. Over 2 years later they are still very much a part of our family, traveling with us when we fly home, and giving us daily cuddles and affection. And occasionally opening and getting into cupboards. I feel so grateful to have become a dog AND cat person as a result of fostering!
