Pet's Story or Bio
Beautiful Riley is an 11 yo English Springer Spaniel. She used to be able to catch frisbees in the air and was a runner up in a disc catching contest! At 9, she went blind from Progressive Retinal Atrophy, an inherited disease. At 10, her eyes were removed, due to pain. Over the past year, she has adapted to her blindness and has mapped out her surroundings. Her happy and adventurous spirit hasn't left her. She still plays ball, goes on hikes, car rides, swims in a pool and dives freely into it. Her tail continuously wags with joy and everyone who meets her, loves her. Soon, we hope to get her approved to become a therapy visiting dog so that she can share her positive outlook and love with others in hospitals, retirement homes, etc. Riley is really a special dog!
