Pet's Story or Bio
Hi, everyone! I am a four-year-old Chihuahua, and my mom and dad adopted me from the Humane Society of Tampa Bay last fall. I feel like the luckiest dog in the world!

I first met my family at an adoption event at Downtown Dogs. Mom and Dad told me that they were not actively looking for a new family member, but they said that when they met me I melted their hearts. I remember first meeting my dad: he looked so nice that I just walked right into his lap and snuggled with him. He gave me a belly rub, which is my favorite! I knew we were meant to be a family--so I was so happy when my mom showed up at the Humane Society the next day to adopt me! She was so happy, too--I even saw her cry.

I was a nervous boy at first, but living in a condominium has helped me to socialize and learn that strangers and other dogs are pretty great. I love our big picture windows (shown in the photo) because I can sunbathe and watch people and other dogs below. My favorite things to do are play chase with my dad, walk on Bayshore Blvd., travel (I have been all over the country--it's great to be small!), eat, and snuggle. Actually, my favorite thing in the whole world is snuggling! If somebody is sitting somewhere, you can bet I will find a way into their lap. My parents call me "the ultimate loverboy," I'm not quite sure what that means, but I think that it is a good thing!

My one-year adoptaversary is coming up soon, and I plan on giving my mom and dad lots of snuggles and kisses to thank them for choosing me. I am so thankful for the Humane Society of Tampa Bay and all that it does for little boys and girls like me who want a loving home. I am so grateful to have found that, so thank you, HSTB!
