Peanut's newborn life began with her mother, brother and sister being surrendered to a kill-shelter located on the southern border of Texas. Then a miracle happened; Her entire family was rescued by an extraordinary San Antonio Rescue Organization called TracysDogs .

This Non-for-Profit rescues as many homeless, abandoned, neglected and abused dogs, as they possibly can, from being euthanized in Texas Shelters. TracysDogs shows these discarded, loving creatures what Human love feels like, they restore their health and they find them loving, forever homes throughout the U.S.

TracysDogs arrange secured, safe adoptions via their website and phone calls to references and the adoptees Veterinarian. Then TracysDogs drives 40 -60 dogs on their doggy mobile to a different state each month; delivering these rescued fur-babies into the loving arms of their forever families. They call it "Gotcha Day" and it's one of the most beautiful experiences I've ever seen!!

When I saw my little Peanut on the TracysDogs website, in January 2017, with her adorable face, eyes and EARS, she stole my heart. I just had to make her part of our family. (I am happy to report that Peanut's mother, brother and sister have also been adopted by loving, human, forever-families.)

Peanut is now 10 lbs of love and laughter and I don't know how I would live a day without her and her three previously rescued fur-sisters, Nina, Lily & Meadow..... and I wouldn't want to. Along with my fur-less daughter (Kristin), Peanut and all my fur-babies fill my life with so much joy they make the harshness of this world incidental.
