Pet's Story or Bio
Dexter is a beautiful German Shepherd, but has been through some hard times. In 2016, his owner, who was a Hillsborough County Deputy Sheriff, was killed in the line of duty by a drunk driver. After his owner’s death, Dexter lost a lot of weight. It would seem he was grieving just like his owner’s friends and family were. Dexter now lives with the Deputy’s parents up North and is spoiled every single day. He has another German Sheperd, Elsa, as a new sister. He is back up to a healthy weight and always doing something fun. In this picture, it was his first attempt at dock diving and he came in 2nd place in his group! He still misses his owner, but knows how proud he would be.
