Anabelle is a whippet/ lab mix and was adopted from Love Unleashed Boarding in Lutz. She had been surrendered to them with the rest of her littler at just a few weeks old. When we adopted her she was already a yr old and the last of her litter. She had been adopted by another couple, but returned because she was "not active enough for them." When we brought her home she was afraid of everything, especially men. But get her outside with our ratty and you'll see the whippet in her come out. We enrolled her in basic obedience training at Humane Society, which helped a little and we got lots of great advice from the trainer, Glen. It took a lot of patience and consistent training. She now sits for her treats without us even saying anything to her. She's still a bit skittish, but we're ok with that. During our first year with her we also discovered that she was literally allergic to everything: corn, oats, rice, peas, venison, roaches, dust mites and even human dander and this is just the short list. Anabelle has made a wonderful playmate for our rat terrier and we've grown quite fond of her as well. She is just the sweetest most loving dog and we are honored that she gave us a chance to be her forever family.
