Hi! My name is Maddox. My mommy rescued me from the Humane Society of Tampa Bay on 3/12/16! My mommy tells me my adoption story all of the time. It's my favorite - so I'm going to share it with you.

My mommy saw me on the website Friday night. She called her best friend on Saturday morning and asked if she looked cute enough to be my mommy. Her friend said "YES!!!" So my mommy showed up Saturday morning shortly after the Humane Society opened. She was sad because I was not out in the puppy area so she thought someone already took me home. She asked a nice lady if I was still available just as she was about to leave and go home. The nice lady found me in the intake area because I was just surrendered the night before.

When I met my mommy - It was love at first sight for us both!! I could tell my mommy was nervous and excited and that her heart was full of all of the loves. After playing with her for a little bit, she decided to take me home (although I'm fairly certain she knew before we even played). While she was filling out paperwork, four other families were asking about me! I was very popular!! She took me home and let me ride on her lap the whole way because I was so scared and excited. Now that I'm bigger, my mommy has us in training and we play with other dogs all of the time. She's the best mommy ever!!

My mommy tells me constantly that I rescued her as much as she rescued me. I'm not so sure about that, but she does give me all the loves all of the time so it must be true. And I give her all of the loves right back. She is my world and I know I'm hers...I couldn't have hoped for a better human or a place to call home.
