We did not adopt Pretty Girl. About two years ago, she adopted us after being a stray in the neighborhood for a few months. She was skinny and scared, so I put food out for her. After a month or so of this, she came up to me while I was working in my backyard and began rubbing up against my leg. She was telling me that for the first time in my life, a cat owned me.
