Hossa was adopted from the Illinois Birdog Rescue (IBR) in February 2014 as a companion for not only myself, but my other rescued GSP Sniper (F, approx. 8-9YOA). While Hossa's Foster Family took great care of him prior to my adopting him; it was obvious Hossa suffered from a myriad of problems, both physical (Tick Bourne Diseases) and mental, likely as a result of being abused by whomever set him astray. When the IBR took him in, Hossa was malnourished, and suffered frostbite to his paws and ears. Hossa has made tremendous progress since being adopted, having completed formal Basic Obedience Training, and slowly becoming more comfortable in his surroundings, including socialization with people and other dogs. He loves his daily walks; walking side by side with Sniper, and trips to the local dog park.
