Faith, she is pint size, but full of life! We adopted her 8 years ago from ICARE. She was the runt of an unwanted litter of Chihuahua mixed puppies. Small, shy and pegged with “social problems”, no one wanted her. She sat shaking at the back of the fence while her siblings charmed the public being adopted one after another. Even her mother ignored her. Being a “underdog” myself, I immediately ignored the antics of her charming siblings, zeroing in on the “one left behind”. Our eyes met and she slowly worked her way forward to sniff my hand. I put a flat hand out, and she climbed in. That was it. The Foster mom said, “Well that’s a first, she doesn’t like to be touched”. She was adopted by us, that day.
