Abraham was abandoned. He was left chained to a chainlink fence near an elementary school. The children teased and taunted him. He was left to eat trash to survive. In came I care. They saved him. Forward a few months, and I went to visit his foster parents not knowing about Abe. As we visited, I shared the fresh loss of my beloved pet as tears welled in my eyes. Abraham padded over to me, laid his head in my lap, and that was it. He has been happily part of our family for 9 years now. He actually gives hugs. His empathy has gotten us through some rough times! Thank God he forgave people. Thank God we found each other!
