Athena is a 9 year old Pitbull-Blue Heeler-Aussie mix. She is my only non-rescue pup. Athena has had a hard life, in terms of health. She has had five surgeries for injuries and cancer, but is of the sweetest spirit and most loving disposition. She has always been calm, even as a puppy. She snores like a train, loves to snarf grass and dirt, has fun playing with worms, and demolishes Zamzows joint bones - her favorite. She is the neediest snuggle monster, loves face rubs, herds me around the house, catches birds and loves hunting squirrels, and leaves hairballs everywhere. She still has cancer but that has not slowed her down from enjoying life. It has earned her the endearing nickname "lumpy lump" - as beautiful as ever. That pretty Pittie smile melts hearts!
