My Pet's Story
We adopted Sterling last year from Safe Haven for Cats. We had been wanting a dog for a long time, but we weren't at home during the day, and we weren't going to hire someone to take care of it. So we considered a cat. Neither me nor my husband were cat people, but my daughter was all in. When we visited Safe, we told them what we wanted and they brought us right to Sterling. A week later we adopted her. She had come out of a hoarding situation of 200 cats all in separate cages, but she must have been loved. She is so gentle and loving, doesn't scratch furniture, and likes to be pet. And, she loved us, from the very beginning, going straight to my daughter for love and attention! She picked us. She licks us and likes her belly rubbed, and even though my husband and I weren't "cat people," we loooooooooooove Sterling, and can't imagine a more perfect fit for our family.
