A little about me...
Remy (nee 'Midi', for Midnight, when he was an IAR foster) was named after the rat in Ratatouille!
We went to try to meet another black kitty (Tyler) with IAR back in February of 2014-his foster said she'd adopted him, but that we might like another cat, Middi, at PetSmart in Durham. 10 minutes later, we saw him and my heart was taken. Luckily his foster mom was there-she asked if we'd like to meet other kittens too, but I said "I want this cat!"and only paid attention to him. Apparently this was the right answer - she told my wife she'd been waiting to hear someone say that! He apparently agreed, because he jumped on my lap and rolled over right away.
After 11 years he's become a little old man, but since he's a good boy (even when he's a little bit naughty 🤣 )Santa has given him multiple heated blankets to use (even in the summer) and he's gone from climbing on our cabinets at the ceiling to sleeping on my lap while I work for the hospital from home. He's the best part of our family, and my wife and I will forever love IAR for letting us add my "The One" to our family.
