Pet's Story or BioOllivander was adopted from IAR to be a companion cat for Fergus. "Ollie" was the same age as Fergus, just over one year old. He had a little nick in one ear that Mary Dow, his IAR advocate, called his "street cred." Shortly after his adoption, on the morning of the Royal Wedding (Harry and Megan), I woke up early so decided to watch it on TV. Ollie came in and jumped up in my lap and stayed there the whole time. I concluded that he was a little Brit, especially when I researched the name Ollivander- the magic wand maker from the Harry Potter series! When he got a little chubby, Mary said he'd "had too much fish and chips at the pub." His tabby pattern was a swirl on each side. I called that his monogram. The boys played hard and wrestled like brothers do. They both loved to investigate boxes and bags- in plentiful supply this past year. Ollie was also a great sleeping buddy-jumping up onto the bed, turning around 3 times and plopping down as close as he could get- usually on top of. We had three years of love from sweet Ollie before an aggressive tumor took him in February this year. In those three years, Ollie made his own magic in our home.
