Pet's Story or Bio
Cicero and his brother, Newton, joined our family right before Christmas in 2002. We adopted them from a woman who found them under her trailer. We met her in the parking lot of Toys-R-Us for the hand off. They were just tiny orange fluffs. They started off rather sickly and when they were finally introduced to our senior kitty, Einstein, he was NOT thrilled. It took a loooong time before he finally accepted them. But Cicero was more than happy to be Einstein's heat pad as his age made it hard to keep warm.
Cicero could contort his body to avoid being touched. He could take or leave us except at bedtime when he displayed his athleticism by snatching thrown food out of the air. He spent his life pursuing the red dot and claimed he caught it one time.
After his brother and Uncle Einstein crossed the rainbow bridge, we considered not getting more cats but Cicero had other ideas. He wandered the house crying making it clear he was lonely. That's when we discovered IAR and brought kittens into the family. Cicero immediately took on the role of Uncle and doted on them, happy from the moment they entered the house.
Cicero crossed the rainbow bridge in August 2020, adding to how much that year sucked. We miss him every day.
