Pet's Story or Bio
This photo comes from our newly adopted dog Jack’s “gotcha day.” I drove to Baltimore, MD to visit my daughter, and discovered this little dog was being re-homed through Adopt-A-Pet. As I drove us back to NC, Jack rode in the crate beside me. His prior family had purchased him during the worst of the pandemic, when they were both working from home. Once they were vaccinated against Covid, Jack’s former caregivers returned to their 2 offices many miles away. Jack was home alone in his crate for many hours each day for months. Thankfully his prior family realized it was quite hard in him to be confined and alone, and we arranged the adoption. He is a 1 & 1/2 year old Shetland Sheepdog/Yorkshire Terrier mix. He’s getting along great with our Pomeranian, Max. My husband and I are home all day, so the crate is no longer a part of his world. We’re grateful to be his forever family.
