Pet's Story or BioIt took us a long time to be ready to get a new dog after we lost our previous dog, Pivot. When we finally decided to adopt a new pet, we started looking at IAR, where we got Pivot. We ended up getting Miles from a site posted in the IAR website of somebody who rescues pointer mixes. Miles was rescued from a shelter that was overflowing and was close to put him down due to space. Miles was and still is a sweet dog with great demeanor, and well trained. We don't understand who could have given him up at one year old. Probably somebody coming to some unexpected hardship. Somebody who took good care of Miles, but had to give him up. We're sure it was hard as it would be for us if we had to give him up now. After 7 years, we can't imagine not having him around. As it often happens, we thought we were rescuing him, but it turned out he rescued us from the grief of loosing Pivot. We still miss Pivot, but we are lucky to have Miles.
