A little about me...
IAR rescued siblings Mork (black) and Mindy (orange) from a household where dozens of cats were being neglected. They clearly had a survival racket going. Mork, a runt with a limp wrist, is aggressively cute and must have fawned for attention and the possibility of food or treats. Mindy protected him from the abuse, and became traumatized herself (and can still be skittish at times if there are too many variables), but they both ate, and survived. They both are very prey-oriented and must have lived on bugs and mice too.

They have been with me 5 months and it is a marvel to see their personalities blossoming as they recover from The Bad House. They love each other so much, in a beautiful symbiosis. Mindy is the patient caretaker and Mork is the special needs boy for whom allowances are made. Mindy always lets Mork eat first, doesn't mind too much when he steals her treats, and is always very gentle and restrained when they play, even though she is a muscular orange tank and could kick him across the room. When she's not minding Mork, Mindy loves to nap in boxes and cuddle on the sofa, now that she's safe and can relax anywhere. She loves to be scratched and roughed up exactly like a dog, and she has a beautiful voice and so much to say.

I have to be gentle petting delicate Mork, but he is extremely attached to me. He rides my shoulder like a parrot and loves listening to electronic industrial music with me. I know God brought us together. They sure are taking good care of me. Did I mention I saw a poster advertising them outside the café in Carrboro where I hang out, and applied immediately to adopt them?
