A little about me...Mimi was adopted from the Orange County Shelter when she was 9 months old. She was dropped in their night deposit cage with no note. She was a happy, playful girl who loved adventure, and still does! She is 11 now and loves her new brother Luc who was adopted from Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue in July of 2024. He is 3 or 4 and lost his eye before he became Mimi’s brother.
They both adore all people and love to play with other dogs. Mimi loves to carry toys around in her mouth, wagging her tail and doing the “Mimi parade.” She is quite the socialite and whines happily whenever she sees a neighbor on our walks, then runs happily to greet them. She is the self-appointed queen of squirrel clean up in the yard and comes to give me “the stare” when there is one on the bird feeder. She was very sad when her big brother Jubal died, a sweet black Lab who welcomed her on her first day in our home. So after a few months, then came Luc.
Luc is a big Boxer goofball who just wants to cuddle and be loved on. He has plenty of Boxer exuberance and is a bit cray cray, but really wants to be a good boy and learns very quickly and listens very well. We are working on leaving him out of the crate when we are gone, and he usually does no damage…he just goes around the house to collect things and bring them back to the middle of the living room. You never know what you will find when you get home!
Both these babies are wonderful companions and bring joy to whoever they meet!
