Rules

• Photo Requirements
  • Be landscape (horizontal) format
  • Acceptable photo formats: .jpg, .bmp, .png, and .tif
  • Be in color
  • Be high resolution (300 dpi or 2 MB minimum)
  • Photos may contain one or more domestic pets (no people or wildlife)
  • Professional commissioned photos are not permitted
  • Photos may not be edited or altered (other than minor color, contrast, or sharpness adjustments)
  • Photographs must either feature pets owned by the entrant OR the entrant must have permission from the pet’s owner to submit their pet’s image.
• Donation fee of $25 per photo.
• All eligible photos with a minimum of five votes by the end of the contest will be guaranteed inclusion in the 2023 Irvine Animal Care Center wall calendar, either in the collage pages or as insets within the calendar. Votes are $1 each.
• You may submit as many photographs as you like.
• All proceeds go toward the Irvine Animal Care Center’s Enhanced Care, Foster Care, and Third Chance for Pets programs.

All photos become the property of the Irvine Animal Care Center.

• Once a photo is accepted, it will appear in the online gallery on Irvine Animal Care Center's Photo Fundraiser website and be open to voting by the general public. Votes are $1 each, with a minimum $5 donation for five votes.
• All votes for photo submissions will be tabulated and displayed online.
• To vote online, click on the Participate tab above. Donate a minimum of $5 for five votes. Those votes can then be cast for any submitted photo in one-vote increments. Voters do not have to use all of the votes at the time of donation. When voters donate, they will be given the option of applying all of the votes to one photo, spreading their votes over various photos, or storing votes in their account. If a voter chooses to store their votes, the voter can log into their account using their ID and password and vote at a later time. All votes must be applied to selected photos by the conclusion of the voting period to be counted. Votes cannot be applied to future contests. The online voting period will end August 31, 2022, 10:00 p.m. PST.
• Ending time for the Photo Fundraiser will be determined by the host website’s server and will show prominently on the Photo Fundraiser website as a countdown clock on the last day of the fundraiser.
• All votes are donations to the Irvine Animal Care Center and are fully tax-deductible as permitted by law. All donors will receive receipts for their contributions.
• Votes and entry fees are non-refundable.
• Winners will be announced on the Irvine Animal Care Center’s website event page in early September.
