This 4-lb poodle spent the better part of her first three years confined to a crate in a garage, shared with another poodle. Bred for profit but too traumatized to produce puppies, she was discarded in all the ways that matter.

This little angel was placed in my arms to rehabilitate. It took months before she felt safe enough to go for a walk or play with a toy… but ten years later, she is my little shadow. She curls against my heart each night and reminds me what resilience looks like in its smallest form.

She was rescued once. Truthfully, she rescued me.
