Betty took two flights from Baffin Island, to the warmer climes of Kingston, just as the weather was turning cold and snowy. She was 3 months of age. I had just become a foster mum for ITAV, and by default, she became my first foster. She’s a funny looking girl! A misfit of many unknown breeds with short little legs, a fox-like tail and beautiful blue eyes. But it was her personality that won us over. A sweet, calm girl with an old soul. It was as though all her ancestors within her were saying “thank you”. I foster-failed, and now Betty will spend her life loved, cared for and most definitely not left out in the cold.
