My in-laws had to relinquish Quillan when my father-in-law was diagnosed with an aortic aneurysm the very day they got him. My partner Heather and I had a senior Jack Russell Terrier, Wyatt, and four cats at the time, but I had always wanted a large breed dog. I was about to retire so we agreed to take him. Neither of us had ever raised a puppy and it was not a breezy experience, but Quillan has turned out to be a smart, funny, gentle boy, and handsome to boot! Though physically full-grown, he will always have the spirit of a puppy.
