Sheena was a rescue pup from a First Nations Reserve in Manitoba. She came to us as a foster via It Takes A Village Dog Rescue at 6 months old. Sheena was in rough shape, suffering from mange, eye infections, skin infections, worms and ticks, and once she was full grown needed both hips operated on. We saw her through her recuperation for a year and by then couldn't let her go. She became an official part of our family when we adopted her in April 2025. Her mobility is 100% and can run and play with her canine sister Maisie and various foster siblings.
