My Story
My name is Dozer Coots. I was born fat and happy, and I'm still fat and happy. I am 4 years old and have grown into a great hunting dog that also loves to sleep all day long. My Mom likes to take me on runs, but I don't like runs. I normally glare at her until the first bunny comes along, then I realize it's not so bad to be out running. I have a cat brother named Moses and a cat sister named Maggie that I snuggle often. I recently competed in my first Splash Dogs competition and Fetch Fest. When I get older, I hope that I finally catch a bunny and retire.

My favorite pastime is
In the morning, when my Mom turns her blow dryer on, I jump off the bed and lick my Dad's hand to wake him up. My Dad and I then go to the bathroom where Mom is getting ready. Mom will scratch Dad's back and Dad will scratch my back. Best time of the day, except for Mom, she has no one scratching her back!

The best thing anyone's ever done for me is
My Gams and Poopha (Grandma and Grandpa) got me a stuffed bunny that looks real, so I can practice with it. Each day I am improving my skills.

I can't live without
I can't live without water, not just to drink, but to swim in. My Mom and Dad bought me a horse trough, so I can "hippo" in. I also love that the local dog park has a pond. Mom lets me in it, but it makes me really stinky. I guess there's lots of mud in it.

The naughtiest thing I've ever done is
I'm usually too lazy to cause any mayhem, but my name is Dozer for two reasons. I love sleeping, and I also am very oblivious to those around me. I throw my weight around and knock many things over like wine bottles, screen doors, children, and the list goes on. At the dog park one time, I knocked over a very pregnant lady. My Mom was not happy with me.

The funniest thing I've ever done is
At the dog park, my Mom was picking up some of my...stuff. I wasn't looking where I was going, and I ran into her legs knocking her over with my stuff. I thought it was so funny. My Mom was very upset, though. We had to leave right then. She didn't talk to me for a bit.

My favorite place to go is
My Gams and Poopha's house. It's out away from city lights and surrounded by alfalfa. They have tons of mountains for me to hunt in. I always make sure that I find some for my Dad. It doesn't necessarily mean that we come home with some, though. Sometimes I wish my Dad and I could switch positions, so I could show him how to aim. I wish I had opposable thumbs.
