My Story
I was rescued in August 2014 with a very large tumor on my stomach. I lived my first 5 years on a chain with no attention and no health care. At some point I was hit by a car (we think) and broke my leg. No one took me to the Dr to get it fixed so now my leg is frozen and I'm pretty much a 3 legged girl. I got to go to a shelter with lots of nice people and they took my tumor off and fed me and loved me. But I didn't have a big chance of getting adopted because I still had a lot of tumors and no one knew if I was going to live long. Sad yet? Just wait, I got to go see Santa and they put my picture in the paper and someone saw it. And the lady said "that's my dog"! So even though they already had a dog who didn't like dogs they all came to see me. And guess what??? She maybe didn't like me but she didn't growl so I got to go home! I got a mom, dad, dog sister and kitty brother all at once!
Now I live the life of snuggling, eating every day and sleeping in the bed (mom has to help me in). And I was soooo sweet mom started taking me out to visit people. Then I had to take a test- only mom was nervous about it- and I became a Certified Therapy Dog.
So now I get to go every weekend to read with kids or visit older/ sick people and make them smile like I do. I've even made other dog friends who go with me.
I think you can see from this picture that I'm one happy girl and so is the rest of my family (this is at a therapy event recently)

My favorite pastime is
Snuggling and eating- 'nuff said!

The best thing anyone's ever done for me is
Come and get me off my chain. A nice lady knocked on my "owners" door and said she's coming with me.

I can't live without
Mom, dad, sissy Huck and Jack the cat

The naughtiest thing I've ever done is
Yeah, I don't ever do anything bad. Except that one time me and Sissy ate 1/2 a bag of cat food😝

The funniest thing I've ever done is
Fire drills with squeaky toys at 5 am- seriously I am ready for breakfast

My favorite place to go is
The lake, nursing home (I get to get in bed with people ) or the couch with mom.

I'm completely obsessed with
Grapefruit- for real. I love it.
