My Story
My momma always says it was love at first sit. You see, when she met me, I lived with a family that had 3 little boys and a baby girl, and the boys were more interested in playing football than playing with me. Sad, I know! So I spent my days tied out between some trees, next to a swimming pool I was not allowed to play in (torture!), and my nights were spent in a crate on the screened porch while they all slept inside. I didn't mind it too much because I didn't know about how my life could be different yet.

That's where my momma comes in. One day, right after my family came home and let me off my tie-out to run around, this lady came to meet me. I was 6 months old and so excited about everything, so of course I was running wild while this lady talked to my boys' mom. When I heard them calling my name, I tore across the yard at full speed, rounded the corner of the house, and ran straight up to this new lady, sat down (no jumping!), looked up at her and put on my best smile. I guess I impressed her, because she decided that the life I had was not the one I deserved. Thankfully, my boys' mom felt the same way and she gave me to this new lady. Boy, did my life change after that day!

I moved into my new house, learned what couches and beds were, started training classes, and got really spoiled really quickly! It's hard to tell you about all the awesome things I've done since meeting my momma, but I will tell you about a few.

I learned that Frisbees are amazing and I am really good at catching them way up in the air. The chuck-it is even more awesome, if that's possible! I learned how to do cool tricks like high-five and play dead. (Momma pretends to shoot me with a finger gun and I fall over real dramatic like and try really hard to remember that "dead dogs don't wag!" Don't worry - she'd never really shoot me. I'm just a fabulous actor!)

I have also made several trips to the beach, which I'm pretty sure is doggy heaven on earth. I've been on 5 or 6 beach trips now, to 3 different beaches! I love every minute of those trips, except those really long car rides.

I also learned how to dock dive. Now, instead of watching my humans play in the pool without me, I get to chase toys into a pool and make really big splashes! My momma even gets in there with me sometimes.

While all of those things are fun, the most important thing I have learned is that, even though I don't have my boys anymore, I still remember how much I loved them and I can share that love with other boys who need me. I go to work with my momma and visit boys who live there instead of with their families. I play with them, showing off my Frisbee and soccer goalie skills, and help them forget about their troubles for a little while.

My first boy, A, (I can't use his name, sorry!) was one of the saddest, angriest kids my momma had known at work. He did not have any family to visit him, and he was only 10. The first time I went to work with momma, I was playing with lots of kids, showing off those soccer goalie skills, and they had to take turns. My boy A got upset about something and was really mad, but because he knew he wouldn't be able to play with me again if he acted out, he sat down nearby and calmed himself down. That was a big deal for him! A huge victory! So he was able to get back in line and play with me again.

After that day, momma and I started visiting A and playing with him. He started doing much better and was not so angry and sad all the time. (I can't take all the credit, but I definitely think I helped!) He eventually got to leave there and go to a foster home. I still get to see him sometimes, and I have helped a couple more boys since he left. I love being able to help them have some fun and feel better for a while!

Now, that's a really long story, but I'm glad you made it through it. My momma says I'm the best dog on the whole planet, but I think I got the best momma too! We love each other so much and my life is so much better since that day I sat at her feet and gave her my best smile. Like momma always says, it was love at first sit, for both of us!

My favorite pastime is
Snuggling with my momma, playing chuck-it, eating, playing Frisbee, playing soccer goalie, eating, dock diving, going to the beach, eating, adventuring with my momma, etc.

The best thing anyone's ever done for me is
That'd have to be my momma giving me a whole new lifeand showing me what it means to be spoiled!

I can't live without
Chuck-it, my momma, food and treats, water (to drink and to play in!), playtime, love, fun

The naughtiest thing I've ever done is
Destroyed almost every toy I've ever owned! A new toy is a new mission: Seek and destroy the squeakers using any means necessary!

The funniest thing I've ever done is
Well, this one time, my momma was in another room and heard me getting into something. She yelled and asked me what I was doing. I decided I should be honest (she'd find out anyway!), so I walked into the room she was in with my big dog bed in my mouth, folded in half! She laughed so hard that she forgot to scold me!

Another time, she was giving me a bath, and while I love the water, I don't love the rinsing part. I wanted her to know how it felt, so I picked up the cup that was floating in the tub, full of water, and rinsed her off good! I don't think she likes rinsing either, judging by how she screamed!

Also, not long after she brought me home, she caught my trying to play with the puppy who lived in the oven. She was positive that it was just my reflection, but I know it was a puppy! He even had the exact same toy that I had!

My favorite place to go is
Honestly, wherever my momma is, but I like it best when we're at the beach or the dock diving pool or at the vet where everyone loves me!

I'm completely obsessed with
Chuck-it! Whenever momma picks it up, I always stick my nose in it to check to see if there's a ball in it. If there is a ball, I run to the door ready to play. If there isn't a ball in it, I run all through the house, find the right kind of ball, and run back to my momma so she can put it in the chuck-it and take me out to play!
