Your Pet's Story
We inherited Jasper when my 24-year-old daughter passed away suddenly 2 years ago. He was her emotional support animal while she lived in Tempe and when she came back to Pleasant Hill. When we walked in to her apartment, we knew something was wrong because Jasper was so loud talking to us. So we inherited him. We didn't know anything about cats, so we kept playing with him and not letting him sleep thinking he was depressed. He became neurotic and I called my friend who had 6 cats. She laughed so hard and said, "cats sleep 17-18 hours a day! Leave him alone to sleep.". He is definitely living a wonderful life and has been our emotional support dealing with our grief.
