I was an empty nester and sorta felt like I'd lost my purpose. I had no regular routine, no one to care for. Then, I happened upon Penny (formerly Taffy) at a mobile adoption event. Not at all what I had in mind as the perfect dog for me, but when our eyes met it was instant love. Shortly thereafter, she moved into my house and -- 9 years later -- has been by my side every day. Penny probably knows me better than any human ever has! I love her with the depth of my soul. And she me.
