Your Pet's Unique Traits
Overcast and Noe are both KHS alums and cross-eyed hound dogs with equal parts energy, heart, and hilarity. Overcast is a rambunctious, goofy diva who lives for attention and makes her presence known—whether by flopping dramatically onto your lap or initiating loud, rough-and-tumble play. Noe, her biological brother, is the yin to her yang: calm, gentle, and often content to observe the chaos with a soulful stare (albeit slightly askew). Despite their differences, they’re deeply bonded and endlessly entertaining. They balance each other out in the most unexpected, lovable ways.

Your Pet's Story or Bio
We adopted Overcast from KHS after a 2023 doggy field trip in Kauai and instantly fell in love with her goofy, spirited personality. Earlier this year, we learned that a dog named Cast Iron—recently abandoned and returned to KHS—was actually her biological brother. Though we’d never met him before, something about it felt fated. We hadn’t been planning on a second dog, but we knew we had to reunite them. We adopted him, renamed him Noe, and after some initial sibling rivalry and jealousy, they slowly found their rhythm. Now, Noe is the sweet, steady, and sensitive big brother to Overcast’s mischievous antics (aka her never ending BRAT summer), and their bond is both heartwarming and hilarious. Watching them rediscover each other has been one of the most special experiences of our lives.
