Your Pet's Unique Traits
Iris doesn’t like being left alone! In this photo she was quite proud of herself making a doggie door. She’s chewed two wooden jalousie windows in Kauai, at floor level; trying to leave and maybe find us? Otherwise, she’s a loving, friendly , gentle soul. She loves people and other dogs. She doesn’t bark much, really! She may have flunked running in hunting school, but her prey drive is strong for pigs, opossums, skunks, and cats.

Your Pet's Story or Bio
Iris was adopted from KHS in January 2019. It was estimated she was one year young. Her first year is unknown; she was found as a stray in Koke’e or Waimea parks. Now she’s officially 7 years old and her only black foot is now grey/white like the others. Her field trip notes mentioned car sickness and yes, she does apparently from anxiety. She is a fairly quick learner when it comes to carrying recyclable objects and picking things up from the floor. Thank goodness she doesn’t chew or pick up random objects; else she probably wouldn’t have survived with us. Iris lives like a princess instead of a street urchin. We love her greatly and she returns that with trust and love for us.
