Your Pet's Unique Traits
Sadie is very sweet, but also incredibly stubborn. She was born & bred on Kaua'i and is now 8 years old. She loves music and her soft, velvety ears perk up as she listens intently to singing or any gentle music. She loves saying hello to other dogs and is very patient with children and babies - even when they pull her ears or tail. She never barks except a quick yelp to remind me that it is dinner time.

Your Pet's Story or Bio
Sadie had a very tough beginning to life. She spent her first four years kept in a crate producing puppies for pig-hunting. When she developed a tumor, she was dumped and rescued by the Humane Society. After recovering from her surgery, she was put up for adoption by the KSPCA and we were the lucky ones!

She is very smart and food motivated and has been trained as a conservation dog seeking out endangered wetland birds and shearwaters who are sick or injured. She is happiest when she is out training or working to find these birds, which are rehabilitated whenever possible.
