Your Pet's Unique Traits
Meli’s name is Hawaiian for “honey”. I named her Meli because she’s the color of honey, she’s smooth like honey and she’s sweet like honey. She is very patient with my 3 yr old grandson who likes to giver her body hugs and mess with her tail and ears. She loves playing with other dogs and running fast. She lives up to her name and is my sweet, sweet girl.

Your Pet's Story or Bio
I adopted Meli from the Kauai Humane Society. Her name at the time was Dottie. I was really there to see her son but he had already been adopted so opted to take her out for the day. She was skittish and wary and I later found out she was taking medication for anxiety. But after a day with her I felt that we could work things out and so I brought her home. She is no longer on medication and is a happy, loving dog.
