Tell us your Rescue Story
After mourning the loss of our first cat for some time, my husband and I were ready to open our home to a new kitty. We fell in love with a female tabby / tortie mix at a Kitten Rescue adoption fair. She was lying in a cat bed with an extremely shy white / grey male kitty hiding underneath it. We inquired about adopting the girl and found out that--though they were not brother and sister--the two had bonded in their foster home.

The girl (now Daisy) was originally found with her brother, but he passed away suddenly. Shortly after, the boy (now Gatsby) was rescued and brought into the same foster home. The two instantly bonded, and their personalities (Daisy is adventurous, while Gatsby is timid) complimented each other.

We didn't want to separate them, so we adopted both. Not a day goes by that we are not so happy we made that decision. Daisy and Gatsby are best friends who do everything together--eat, sleep, play, wrestle, groom and snuggle. Also, almost all of Gatsby's shyness has disappeared now that he and his best bud have a home of their own. They fill our lives with so much joy, and we cannot imagine our lives without this adorable pair.
