Icie came into my life when another of my dearly beloved cats (Echo) was losing a battle with cancer. Icie was a lil thing when she joined our family, and she and Echo became instant best friends throughout the remainder of his life. They were inseperable. After he passed on to the other side, we all felt the unbearable void he left behind. My grieving was one thing, but Icie's was another - she kept looking for him, and spent about a week inside and on top of the carrier he traveled in the last time they saw each other. I knew I needed to find another playmate for her, so I adopted another kitten from kitten rescue, Princie, who is a Maine coon mix with an enormous personality and sense of crazy humor. All his energy aside, he takes time throughout each day to groom and hug her; he quite literally puts his arms around her neck and shoulders! I'm so grateful for the love kitten rescue has brought to my home, and for precious moments like these, with a funnier than funny sweet angel staring straight at me with those shining colorful eyes as if asking me "You can't be serious about practicing that piece AGAIN?!?" with the gentlest exasperation imaginable! This little one spends time nuzzling in my lap every day, every chance she gets... I couldn't love her more!
