Tell us your Rescue Story
It was mid-September 2011 when my 18 1/2 year old cat crossed over the rainbow bridge, and I couldn't stand the thought of going home to an empty food bowl. The next morning I drove to Cat House on the Kings to find a new rescue to love and fill the void. I brought my dog to introduce to his potential new roommate. Sookie was the last one I met and a little older. She was very mellow and got along with my dog so I knew it was a good match. She is curious, affectionate and always the first to greet a visitor in my home. She even puts up with me dressing her for the holidays!
