Tell us your Rescue Story
This is Tucker (AKA Bubba). He was rescued by Jasmin as a newborn in brush behind a home. My husband and I had recently lost our beloved elderly cat, and we were looking for a special kitty to add to our family of two kitties and help mend our broken hearts. Jasmin sent me a photo of him, and I instantly fell in love. But my husband preferred another kitten that she had, so I agreed that we would go meet the two of them and make our decision at that time. When we got to Jasmin's home, she brought out the two kitties. My husband was immediately drawn to tiny Bubba, who was my first choice. Sadly, Bubba was sick at the time, but that just made us fall in love with him even more. I asked Jasmin if he was a cuddly kitty, and she said " yes." Then I asked again and said "is he a REALLY cuddly kitty?" (the kitty we lost had been my shadow and wanted to be with me at all times.). Again, she said "yes" and that he would sleep with her husband in bed at night. After hearing that, we were completely sold and knew that Bubba would be a part of our family for the rest of his life. ❤️

Bubba (now Tucker) is now three years old and while we thought his initial name didn't fit him at all, he now really is a "Bubba"! He is the light of my husband's life as he always gets up to greet him and stands on his back legs on the counter and puts his paws around my husband's neck. But the most special thing of all is that he is the perfect brother to our remaining kitties, now including Sadie Sue the blind cat. He gets along with all three and looks out for his blind sister at all times. They play together, but he is never rough with her. And with Mackie, our previously troubled and withdrawn kitty, he is his best friend. They cuddle together on the bed, and Mackie washes his head. It is the sweetest thing I've ever seen, and I am so glad that Tucker helped bring Mackie out of his shell. And yes, he truly is a cuddly kitty. Every day, I ask him if he wants to "cuddle with Mama" on the couch. He immediately jumps up and I turn back the blanket so he can lie down. Then I cover the both of us up and he falls asleep with his head on my arm. ❤️

We are so grateful to have him in our life and besides adopting him into our family, we have adopted Jasmin and her family, too. We were truly blessed to have found KR and Jasmin AND Tucker! ❤️
