Tell us your Kitten Rescue Story
When I first saw these two little girls at a Kitten Rescue adoption event, it was love at first sight. A new home can be scary, though, so I set them up in a quiet room with a comfortable couch and lots of pillows. The two of them immediately disappeared behind the pillows and I barely saw them for the next five days. About the time I was wondering if they were ever going to explore the rest of the house, they came to pay me a visit in the living room. They cautiously crept over to me, Cocoa leading the way for her more timid sister, and settled into my lap. When they both started purring, I thought it was the prettiest sound I'd ever heard. I wanted that moment to last forever. Now, at five years old, they follow me around whenever I'm at home. Too big to both fit in my lap, they take turns, when they're not wrapped up in each other. And when they look up at me, with their eyes full of love and their purr machines rumbling, I feel grateful to the bottom of my soul that these two beautiful creatures rescued me.
