Tell us your Kitten Rescue Story
I saw Landau on the Kitten Rescue site last February. My husband and I went and met him at the Foster Parents home. He looked just like our 20 year old kitty that had passed away a year before. The foster parents told us he had been to many foster homes in the last couple months. He was 3 years old. We took him home and he was so aggressive we were concerned. He seemed angry and seemed to want to bite a lot. At first I was scared I would not be able to take care of him. I even called the Foster Mom in tears and asked her to come get him. I realized that Landau was nothing like the kitty I had taken care of for 20+ years that had passed away the year before . Then that night my husband and I got really sad as we had already started getting attached to Landau. The Foster Mom came over and helped us acclimate with him a little more. We began to realize that he was really in need of a lot of play. It's been 20 weeks since we adopted him and we absolutely LOVE him. It boiled down to us understanding that he needs a lot of activity and needs to play a lot. He is a super fun kitty now. He can jump straight up in the air and do fancy flips and turns. He can slide all the way across the floor chasing after a toy. He meets us at the door when we get home and rubs against our legs. He is kind of like a little lion. We are so happy he is part of our family!
