Why should your dog be the "Mutt Madness Champion"?
Smidgin was abandoned at the front desk of our hospital when she was ~8 weeks old. She was in congestive heart failure due to a genetic defect in her heart. She had surgery and spent a week in the hospital before joining our family. She was just amazing in her joy for life! Four months later she developed terrible neck pain and difficulty walking. She was missing most of one of the bones in her neck which caused her spinal cord to get pinched when she bent her neck. Smidgin spent 4 months in a neck cast in hopes that her neck would stabilize, followed by a year in a soft neck brace. Today you wouldn't know Smidgie ever had any problems except for a slightly goofy walk. She is the happiest dog and loves everyone! We were lucky we could afford her care but many cannot.
